I visited Virgen del Carmen yesterday with my daughter who swims competitively. I made all of the arrangements by phone in the morning and was told to come along between certain hours and access would be fine. We walked in the blazing heat for 30 mins from our hotel, only to be treated really badly by the reception male ‘guards’ who refused to speak to us because they did not speak English and refused to find anyone that did. They deliberately did everything possible to prevent non Spanish people from attending. I would avoid this place at all costs.
